I am struggling with trying to understand why a trained medical doctor would act so careless. Dr. Pope made a bad call about a traumatic injury that I sustained before being transported to St. Francis Hospital. He tried to discharge me with a pelvic fracture stating all I needed was tylenol and nothing could be done outside of rest. He wasn't aware of the multiple fractures at the time because he only ordered a CT for my head and an xray for my pelvis. He changed his mind after a series of events with the registration and nursing staff. He discovered I did have insurance, was employed at a different medical company, I wasn't a drug seeker and I couldn't walk. Then he decided to order more tests. News flash 3 CTs later and numerous dosages of painkillers he determined I really needed medical help that his team wasn't equipped to handle so I was transported to another hospital. His misdiagnosis could have cost me my mobility and quality of life. Maybe that was his off day? I don't think… he was following the oath he took when promising to do no harm or the mission statement CHI/Franciscan pretends to uphold. This was the bad side of what is supposed to be good medical practice and treatment.

Dr. Pope took care of my daughter and she had mislocated elbow. He was great, efficient and professional.
