Dr. Dana Rifai, MD

Dr. Rifai is by the book and an otherwise competent doctor. I saw her briefly for back pain from compressed discs in my back, and the doctor was very textbook, in her questions and her answers and did not give a good feeling of customised care. That's fine, that didn't bother me, what bothered me is when I called for a refill, was cut off going through a tunnel in Chicago, and her receptionist actually called me back to yell at me for hanging up on her! That's it. I was done. While the doctor was pretty okay, I cannot advocate a doctor who is not overseeing her staff, who badger patients and verbally accost them.

Refused to prescribe medicine for my persistent GERD. In addition she did not listen to or take seriously issues about complications with mental health. Would start a med and set new appointment out for 6 months —no follow ups. No reference to psychologist, therapist. Avoid, especially for mental health needs. Unacceptable

I think she is a wonderful dr, very caring and compassionate.

Great doctor very knowledgeable if you want a great internal medicine doctor I recommend her
