Visit with Dr. Trotter. I was totally confused with my first visit and thankfully my last because she’s already left the office she went against everything my Rheumatologist had said that have been treating me for six years she left me confused she made assumptions and diagnosed me herself without I do believe reviewing what I had been through for the last six years she even changed my vitamin D level without even checking my blood first

She is thee worst practitioner I have ever come across. She doesn't listen to her patients..She treat based on her own personal experiences vs any protocol, orders a slew if redundant and unnecessary diagnostic testing and is a full on wackjob!!

My appointment with Dr Trotter this morning was professional and thorough. Although I’m still in a bit of a fog with my diagnosis, I am comfortable knowing that Dr Trotter will be handling my case. She asks the right questions to get to answers she needs and listens and interacts with me. It’s very obvious that she really cares about patients. I look forward to the upcoming tests and the continued care Dr Trotter can and will provide

Dr. Dana Trotter has seen my wife twice now for osteopenia assessment and treatment, complicated by my wife's dementia and other medical conditions. Dr. Trotter is very knowledgeable and very thorough. She is a caring physician who has made numerous health and lifestyle suggestions that have been very helpful for my wife, in addition to outstanding care for the osteopenia. She is a great asset for southern New Mexico.

Not only incompetent but physically abusive. She ignored my physical signs and symptoms (joint hypermobility, Raynaud's phenomenon) and projected her own onto me. She doesn't know the difference between Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Marfans. She said my purple toes were "man on fire syndrome" but they are ice cold, the exact opposite caused by Raynaud's. She grabbed my wrist and jerked me out of my seat for no reason. Her "fibromyalgia test" she squeezes too hard and hangs on too long, of course that kind of pinch on your shoulder hurts.

I was referred to Dr. Trotter due to an insurance change and not being able to see my regular rheumatologist, who I had been seeing for the last 14 years and who is considered THE best in the state and the one to give me my diagnosis. Before I could even open my mouth about my concerns, Dr. Trotter proceeded to tell me that I DIDN'T have this particular disease because it was SO rare that I couldn't POSSIBLY have it, despite being diagnosed with it almost 14 years ago by, again, THE best rheumatologist in the state and the head of the rheumatology department in one of the largest University hospitals in the Southwestern US. She didn't even have my medical records yet, yet she proceeded to tell me everything that was wrong with me (I hadn't yet said much) and as soon as she noticed that I was diagnosed with a mental health issue, she tried to persuade me at first that everything I was feeling was due to my mental health and not physical at all. After I very firmly told her NO she then… stated that it was Fibromyalgia. I told her that yes, I had also been diagnosed with Fibro. I already knew that and that wasn't why I was there. But she refused to listen to me explain my symptoms and history and I became so flustered that I just gave up. I was furious. I have never, EVER dealt with a doctor as infuriating as her, and I frequently go to the VA for my husband's appointments! She proceeded with her "fibromyalgia test" and she gripped me so hard she left BRUISES, all so she could prove that I have fibromylagia (which I already know I do!). As she is newer in this area, I can tell you now that I will NOT be reporting back good news to my PCP and other specialist doctors, and when I DO finally get in to see my regular Rheumatologist I will also not be saying anything good about her or her way of doing things. Stay far, far away from this "doctor"!

As my doctor for 2 yrs, I found Dr Dana Trotter to be a knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate Rheumotologist. I'm lucky to have found her. After her diagnosis, she explained my conditions, presented a plan to help me manage them as best I can, and deal with my complicated conditions! She never rushes. I never waited in her office. I was amazed at that..a specialist on time. I'll miss being under her care. I'm told she's leaving Naples, Florida. This was in Feb 2017. Thank you Dr.Trotter, my best wishes in your future endeavors.

Great Dr.! First 10 minutes thought I was in the wrong place. No. I was right where I should have been. Saved me from unnecessary surgery. Anybody know where she went?
