Amazing bedside manner and very thorough in his examination. Have referred several of my friends to see him. I highly recommend him if you have shoulder or elbow problems.

Dr Acevedo has been nothing but exceptional! We went to so many orthopedic shoulder surgeons and they told us that the surgery would not have good results. However, we discussed at great length about the surgery and we had such amazing results.

Dr. Acevedo is without question the BEST doctor I've ever encountered...EVER! My husband had a torn rotator cuff for 30 years that every other shoulder surgeon said was "too frayed to be fixed". He was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr. Acevedo who repaired his shoulder to perfection! He has since not only repaired my husband's other rotator cuff, which he tore playing tag with our grandchildren on a rainy day, but sadly I tore mine in Zumba, and he fixed it too. Our shoulders are perfect and completely pain-free now, and we will forever be grateful for Dr. Acevedo's enormous skill and expertise. He is also a caring and fine human being. The perfect combo!

First I want to say that I have NEVER SEEN ANY doctor have negative reviews—or ANY REVIEWS FOR THAT MATTER— without comments. I question the validity of these ratings. Is It because he recently joined Kaiser? Do they have some shady ability to hide transparency from patients? My husband was finally in enough discomfort to go see a specialist for his shoulder instability. He is very healthy and hates seeing doctors for anything. Being an RN, I discussed the ramifications of not seeking treatment and he acquiesced. That said, Dr Acevedo entered the room without introducing himself and I wasn’t even sure he was the doctor based on his demeanor. He had the hiccups and it was really odd. He was intelligent enough and seemed to be doing the assessment thoroughly, but he was rough with my husband’s shoulder and neck. Afterward, he wrote an order for a cervical MRI and also a shoulder MRI with and w/o contrast. He gave time to ask questions and left. My husband who is pretty easy going… didn’t complain but I noticed he had pain. His neck and shoulder were bothering him that evening and we figured it would be fine in the morning. Three days later, my husband is having new neck pain that he never had before. My husband is a person who NEVER COMPLAINS about pain—once he crashed on his road bike doing 45 and broke his pelvis in 2 places—- HE WENT TO WORK THE NEXT DAY. So if this doctor gave him pain, he really f—-ed up. I am going to try to get him a different doctor because this guy can’t even assess.
