Dr. Daniel Ethan Boxer, MD

I was really impressed by Dr. Boxer. I'd been told by my primary that since my neutrophils were low and my lymphocytes high, I should go to a hematologist to make sure I didn't have either lymphoma or leukemia. Dr. Boxer walked in (right at the scheduled time), and the first thing he did was to wave his hand dismissively and say, "Your case doesn't interest me very much, which is good news for you." He then proceeded to explain, in layman's terms I could easily understand, why I had nothing to worry about. He took his time, and was friendly and unassuming throughout.

Showing Dr. Boxer has 119 years of experience. You should change that.

I have been a patient of Dr. boxer for just over a year, and could not be happier. Dr. Boxer is very responsive, courteous and spends his time explaining everything to me. Dr. Boxer calls each time after my visit with my test results, and sends my prescriptions directly to CVS. I hope he will be my physician for many years to come.

There are not enough positive things to say about Dr. Boxer. He has been treating my wife and me for three years, and we could not be more pleased. His customer service is impeccable. He calls with test results on the weekend, emails us to check in after visits, works us in for last-minute appoints. More importantly, during visits we have his full and undivided attention. He listens. He remembers discussions from past appointments. He provides care that is specific to the patient. When he doesn't know an answer, he doesn't guess, he researches the topic to find out. If you are looking for a general internal medicine doctor in DC, there is no better choice than Dr. Daniel Boxer.

I have been a patient of the Georgetown Office of Internal Medicine for a number of years. Unfortunately, while I have had excellent doctors, they have tended to move away. Dr. Boxer seems settled in; he spent lots of time with me at my annual physical; he made a follow-up appointment for three months later; he called to discuss the results of my blood work and other tests; I was notified two months in advance when the appointment date needed to be changed. I feel very comfortable with this doctor and look forward to a long relationship with him. I would recommend him to anyone.
