Dr. Daniel Lee Bruning, MD

I received an epidural steroid injection (ESI) from Dr Bruning. After the procedure I have now learned that the drug that Dr Bruning used for the ESI KENALOG-40 is NOT APPROVED BY THE FDA FOR EPIDURAL ADMINISTRATION. Dr Bruning never informed me that he was injecting a drug into me on an off-label basis. Had I been properly and legally informed that the drug injected into me was NOT APPROVED by the FDA for epidural administration, I would have refused the injection. The package insert for KENALOG-40 from the Bristol-Myers Squibb website clearly states at the very top NOT FOR EPIDURAL USE. Why is a drug being injected into people epiduraly when the package insert clearly states NOT FOR EPIDURAL USE? At minimum, informed consent should be obtained from each patient. This is something that I never received. I have also learned that ESIs are extremely dangerous. Several people have even died from ESIs. Arachnoiditis is also another very serious complication that may result from ESIs. I was… never informed of any of these potentially very serious complications from ESIs. I would not recommend Dr Bruning for any kind of invasive procedure due to him failure to give proper and legally required informed consent. For narcotic pain relievers he is probably OK.

I hate needles, but I had a great experience with Dr. Bruning and the PainCARE staff. I'm sure the sedation they gave me helped alot but Dr. B explained the procedure so well and the reason it might help that I wasn't too anxious. What a nice office!

Had another injection today. They are terrific! Dr. Bruning knows his stuff. I was 80% better from the last injection he gave me. The staff is so caring and kind. They really want me to get better.

had horrible pain for 2 years and nothing worked!  I didn't want surgery and Dr. Bruning suggested I try PRP.  It is nothing short of miraculous.  It was done right in his office and no down time!!!!  I needed two treatments and I am a new man. He has changed my life for the better.

Incredible experience with all of PainCARE! Dr. Bruning knows his stuff and explains it very well. My other pain doctor experiences were awful compared to seeing Dr. Bruning. His office is kinder, way cheaper than a hospital injection and I got sedation! I would recommend PainCARE for anyone in Kansas City.

Dr. Bruning and his staff are very thorough. He spent time explaining my condition and options so I could understand. He was very gentle in sedation. My bill going through his office was $2000 less than at a hospital or other facility!!!!!!!!

The people at PainCARE have a wonderful attitude. Dr. Bruning listened to me and took time explaining what was wrong with me. I got better after one injection! I was scared to death of needles but never felt a thing!

The epidural injections by Dr. Bruning gave me great relief. I felt that all my questions were anwered. The entire office took a lot of time with me and I did not feel rushed. The office is clean and pretty.
