Dr Buss repaired a labral tear and cartilage defect (microfracture) on the humeral head of both my shoulders - left in 2017 and right in 2020. It has so far (as of March 2024) been very successful. I went from daily pain to perhaps monthly - odd random movements causing a moment of pain. While I am not able to lift the heavy weights I used to, I have great function and good performance for everything else I like to do. Thank you, Dr. Buss!

I had my right shoulder replaced and I could not be happier. I no longer have pain and my range of motion is so much better. Great surgeon.

Dr. Buss performed rotator cuff and other shoulder and arm surgery after I had a skiing accident. My recovery was quick because he is so exceptional. Absolutely no post-surgical problems. Dr. Buss is simply amazing. He’s the only surgeon I would even consider should I need shoulder work in the future. He’s also very personable and explains things exceptionally well.

I gave Dr. Buss two stars because I felt he was knowledgeable. Other than that I had a terrible experience visit. His assistant was worse. He spoke to her the entire time I was in the room with medical terms I had no idea what he was talking about. He briefly showed me a picture of my MRI said to go to PT and follow up with his PAs in 2-3 months. I have been in severe pain for months and nothing has helped. They had me fill out a 3 page questionnaire on quality of life, pain etc... but this wasn’t ever discussed or looked at during the time I was there.

I went to Dr Buss for a second opinion after 3 people I know and respect recommended him. I really wish I’d gone to him in the first place. He was highly professional, knowledgeable, interested, and helpful. I can’t recommend him highly enough. I’ll never go to anyone else!

I have had both shoulder's repaired by Dr Buss. My last was to correct a problem from a former surgeon (Not D Buss) and he made the necessary corrections. He is a fantastic Dr. and goes up and beyond to take the time to explain and fix the issues. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Buss.

I had a full thickness tear of the rotator cuff. Dr. Buss's PA called with the diagnosis and said I needed surgery. When I met with Dr. Buss, he refused to do the surgery, told me that I had to stop doing all the things I love, camping, canoeing, gardening, etc. He also refused any sort of treatment except 'maybe' an anti-inflammatory injection in 3 months. He gave me no path out of the severe pain and told me I couldn't do anything that I loved. I was in tears throughout the visit because of his aggressive and uncaring manner. 2nd opinion did the surgery immediately, and I've never felt better. Dr. Buss may be a good surgeon, but his social skills/bedside manner need a major upgrade. Do not go to him.

I am amazed there are any bad reviews. My husband and I have seen him, me for a total rotator cuff repair. Our experience, and those of friends, is that Dr Buss is a consummate professional with outstanding diagnostic and surgical skills. He goes above and beyond in providing service.

PROFESSIONAL - Likable - CARING - SKILLED....and WONDERFUL BEDSIDE MANNERS! A perfect combination. That's why my family and I have continue to choose Dr. Buss as our orthodopedic for the past 15 years! We couldn't find a more perfect "fit" !

Dr. Buss had helped me many times in the past and got me back to functioning in life again..I have lupus and have had many joint problems that need surgery..... However last year when i saw him because my elbow joint needed replacing and i had a shoulder issue, messages both suggestive and comment wise were made that i was not someone to be operated on again, either because of my age 69 or my health, lupus...i feel like neither have put me in the untreatable class, and i deserve don't need to be discriminated against for either of these reasons ...i have a life left yet and i could have many years to be mobile and not left in this pain or dysfunction... maybe there should be a disclaimer at his office that you cannot help people over 65..land they should just live with it!!!!
