Dr. Daniel Baird Cacioppo, MD

Dr. Cacioppo is always on time. He is very laid back and is very knowledgeable; also, he is very easy to talk with. I really admire his style.

I agree with the writer that stated this Doctor is cheerful and kind but I did not get much reassurance from him, in fact I don't believe that I even got answers to my questions. He seemed to cut me off when I tried to explain my symptoms. I also felt that once he thought he had a diagnosis he seemed anxious to end the appointment. I was not asked if I had any questions. and I was not allow ed to fully explain what I was feeling. Having had brain surgery, each new symptom is scary and I just didn't feel he took me seriously or just didn't have the knowledge to make a diagnosis in my case. Neurology is a vast, vague field of medicine so I suggest you do your homework and perhaps see a Neurosurgeon if you are not satisfied with your treatment.

He is friendly and cheery, but seemed very passive about my diagnosis and treatment. I had an initial visit with him and he indicated I had a "potpourri" of issues going on with my brain. Well, that's a bit scary but even scarier is when I had my follow up appt. with him and told him of my increasing/additional symptoms and he was very nonchalant about my complaints, attributing some of them to hormones and other things. I insisted on another MRI and even had to tell him what to write on the order so that I could get the MRI done w/ special contrast/imaging. It's not that I wanted him to insist that I have brain surgery, but I'm 44 with a brain tumor and other issues and I just feel like I knew more about my diagnosis than he did, asking him certain questions that he did not have adequate answers to. Yes, I did my research and am now doing extensive research to find a better, more knowledgeable doctor!
