Dr. Clader is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Christian Dental Society, Montrose Chamber of Commerce, and a Clinical Instructor and founding member of the advisory board for the Kois Center in Seattle - www.koiscenter.com .
Dr. Dan Clader is a Colorado native who moved to Montrose in the fall of 1983 five weeks after he married his wife Karla. He received his dental degree in December 1982 from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch at Houston. Dan and Karla have two grown daughters. Emily is married to Kyle and she works as an Occupational Therapist in Boulder. Hannah recently graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science and is seeking her dream job.
Dan and Karla love the mountains! They have successfully summited all 54 of Colorado's fourteen thousand foot peaks and continue to re-climb their favorite mountains. Camping, desert hiking, snowshoeing and …snowboarding are other favorite activities. Dan also loves to ride his mountain bike and road bike.
They are active in their church, First Presbyterian Montrose, where Dan serves as an elder on its governing board. He also volunteers as a youth leader for high school kids.
Dr. Clader is committed to providing the highest quality dentistry available. Offering modern advances in dental technology is critical. He continually expands his education and has been fortunate to learn from some of the best clinical dentists around the world. He has completed intensive coursework at the Kois Center in Seattle, one of the country's leading institutions of advanced dental training. Currently he serves the Kois Center as a Clinical Instructor, helping to mentor other dentists on topics such as occlusion, dental esthetics and rehabilitation, dental implants, and crown and bridge dentistry. Dr. Clader has also completed advanced education for surgical placement of dental implants at the Ickert Teaching Centre in Vancouver, Canada. In addition, over the years Dr. Clader has been honored to facilitate and speak at dental meetings around the country.
Dr. Dan has a passion for dentistry that is genuine and contagious. While he loves to learn and teach, his greatest joy is found in the day to day and year to year relationships with his patients. He understands how dental disease and problems can affect one's overall health and well-being, and he loves to help people who want to improve their dental health. He also knows that life issues such as fear, finances, medical concerns, job constraints and family commitments can get in the way of this process. In many cases the best approach to optimum dental health is one that happens over time, and Dr. Clader is great at understanding and communicating urgent dental needs in conjunction with a phased out plan. While he has an incredible ability to understand even the most complex and difficult dental problems, even those patients with healthy smiles are assured by his confidence and high level of care!
