This doctor could not figure out what was causing my chronic diarrhea for over 2 1/2 years. I asked numerous times whether it was medication related. He wouldn't even consider it. As it turned out he had me on a medication for a diabetic condition that was causing the diarrhea. Seven days after my current doctor pulled me off that medication the diarrhea was gone. And, it turns out I don't need any medication for the diabetic condition, my A1C has remained exactly the same with no medication as it was while I was taking the medication that had caused the diarrhea; I've been off that medication with no replacement medication for a bout 15 months now. He also allowed my potassium level to be elevated in the critically high range for 30 days making no treatment changes, just collecting more blood for additional testing. He didn't even bother to send the labs to my nephrologist. It was that event that caused me to switch primary care physicians. Unfortunately, loving one's profession and… spending time with patients does not ensure quality care. He seems to have difficulty diagnosing and when diagnosing is accurate, i.e., in my case from the outside specialist, he neither works with that specialist nor does he know how to treat the condition appropriately without the guidance from the nephrologist.

This practice has two good doctors. Our family goes to Dr. Daniel Dickerson. He is very nice. The staff is very nice as well although the front desk has mixed up our insurance cards with our outdated cards two times now and hence sent us a bill directly saying we did not have insurance- which we did. Overall good office and Great Doctor

He really explains things well about the medical condition, makes sure you understand how to take care of yourself with the medicine, and he took plenty of time to answer any questions that I had. Nice to see that in a doctor these days. As far as the comment goes with the person who was mad about their test results taking so long: they take long to get back to a doctor no matter what office you go to- consider yourself lucky it only took him 3 days. I went to another doctor a while ago and it took them two weeks to get back to me on the lab results! This doctor deserves some stars in his ratings.. I've seen other docs in KS and he is by far the nicest and takes the most time out of any of them I have been to.

Very nice man, and obviously loves being a doctor. Very intelligent and spends plenty of time in the room with you. Howerever, he does not get back to patients with test results in a timely manner. If you are sick, and the doctor orders tests, it should not take him three days to call and tell you the test results. That is just too long when you are acutely ill.

He is not caring. He does not have good people skills, and can't ever get the diagnosis right the first time.
