Dr. Daniel Duel, MD

Dr. Duel is board certified in General Adult Psychiatry and has experience in providing psychiatric treatment for the full scope of mental health disorders. He also has a special interest in Addiction/Substance Use Disorders and has successfully helped many struggling with use disorders overcome their struggles through therapy, medication management, and lifestyle optimization. As Medical Director of an outpatient addiction clinic, he created and led a clinical team of counselors, therapists, case managers, and nurse practitioners to provide clients with wraparound care addressing both addiction and mental health disorders. He has also worked as an Adult Psychiatrist in the Los Angeles area through various community clinics serving patients on Medi-Cal and those suffering from severe mental illnesses.

Dr. Duel is a UCLA Bruin through and through. He obtained his bachelors in Psychobiology at UCLA, completed medical school at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, …and completed his psychiatry residency training at UCLA. Through his training at UCLA, Dr. Duel also worked at the West Los Angeles VA, trained in TMS, and trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety, mood, and sleep disorders. He has extensive pharmacologic experience treating complex mood, psychosis, OCD, anxiety, and geriatric disorders. 

In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, traveling, and spending time with family. He is also fluent in Farsi.
