I felt that the vision correction surgery was oversold. Great showmanship, but the real risks were glossed over. "Dry eyes" are just words. Until you actually have dry eyes Horrible! I am sure that ppl who are determined to have the surgery will go ahead and do it. But my advice (and not the advice of a surgeon and staff who need to do surgery to pay the bills) is: Think VERY HARD about the surgery BEFORE having it. It isn't having your nail or hair done. IMHO, if the surgery won't make you look like a movie star, just skip it.

Dr. Durrie and his staff are so welcoming, comforting, knowledgeable and professional. My experience at Durrie went above and beyond my expectations. The prior appointment was very thorough and informative. Dr. Durrie was absolutely wonderful during the surgery, explaining step by step how things were going and what I should expect to experience next. And the post-op appointment reassured me and gave me time for any more questions or concerns I may have had. I look forward to my next appointments with them and would recommend Durrie Vision Centers to anyone considering any vision testing or procedure.

Overall I was very impressed by my experience at Durrie Vision. Dr. Durrie was very personable and prepared to explain as much or as little about the surgery as I wanted to know. One week later and I am seeing great without contacts or glasses - for the first time since I was 4 years old!
