Dr. Daniel Patrick Ferrick, MD

Dr. Ferrick treated myself and my husband for years. He sent my husband for colonoscopy did blood work. Never checked his PSA. He was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer by a proctologist and underwent a radical prostatectomy. Now the cancer is in his tailbone. He is 59 years old and could lose his life due to negligence.

I have no complaints about Dr. Ferrick. He treats my hypertension. He performs regular bloodwork to ensure meds are not damaging anything and monitors my cholesterol. I always get a call and we discuss the results.When I had liver enzymes outside the normal band, he sent me to a specialist. When I tore the tendon in my thumb, he sent me to a hand specialist. When there was a possibility of a genetic-related heart condition, he sent me to the premier specialist in the US specializing in identifying genetic markers for this condition, practicing at UCSF.He is friendly, pleasant, competent, compassionate. What more could you ask for from a family practioner?

I actually felt bad my insurnace had to pay for Dr. Ferrick's services. He mis-diagnosed my flu-like symptoms numerous times while refusing to send me to a specialist. After 2 months of flu-like symtpoms he finally sent me to an immunologist who knew exactly what was going on in 5 minutes. Within hours of my immunologist appt I felt incredible better after taking the meds he prescribed.
