Daniel Fleming

I became a physical therapist because of my love for exercise, education, helping people, and my own positive experience successfully rehabbing my shoulder instead of choosing surgery. Physical therapy allows me to live my values by educating patients on how to help themselves through exercise and physical activity. My philosophy of care focuses on empowering patients by prioritizing their goals and what is meaningful to them through an evidence-based, interdisciplinary approach. I emphasize active listening, meeting patients where they are, and teaching skills they can use independently using the best available research and techniques. My clinical interests include geriatric physical therapy with a focus on fall prevention, difficulty walking, and deconditioning, as well as orthopedic care for pre- and post-operative conditions. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, watching movies, and relaxing.
