Dr. Daniel L Foley, DDS

Meet Dr. Foley
Dr. Foley was born and raised in the Beckley area. He attended the College of West Virginia for two years and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at West Virginia University. He also received his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master’s Degree in Orthodontics from West Virginia University, where he graduated with honors.
He began practicing with Dr. Thomas Jarrett in 1995 and eventually bought the practice in 2005. He shares his knowledge and experience in orthodontics to residents as a Clinical Professor at West Virginia University’s Orthodontic Residency Program and is an examiner for the graduating resident board cases.
Dr. Foley is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontists and keeps up to date on the most innovative techniques in orthodontics by attending orthodontic courses all over the world. He is a member of the Schulman Study Group, a group of 120 elite orthodontists all over the United States and Canada that share their knowledge with …one another to help each member have the best practice in their area.
He is a Preferred Provider for Invisalign and has visited their Costa Rica facility to assure he is providing his patients with the best Invisalign treatment possible. Dr. Foley is also certified by the Academy of Laser Dentistry to provide soft tissue laser surgery. He is also a graduate of the Pankey Institute where he learned advanced techniques in occlusion and TMJ therapy.
He has been the president of the West Virginia Orthodontic Association and the West Virginia Orthodontic Alumni Association. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, West Virginia Dental Association, and the New River Dental Society.
Dr. Foley founded a charity, Smile for a Lifetime, that provides orthodontic treatment to patients that could not otherwise afford treatment. He feels that having a great smile helps you succeed in both your personal and professional life.
Dr. Foley has a son named Luke and enjoys golfing, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, farming, horses, traveling, Harley Davidson motorcycles and coaching sports.
