Dr Daniel Earl Galvin

After fighting what I thought was a stomach virus, I was raced to Huntington Hospital. To our surprise, my gallbladder was infected, not functioning, and massive. As a very athletic, healthy, and fit 48 year old, this was a shock. Unable to walk, I sat in a wheelchair. Dr. Galvin met with me just before surgery, he was poised, open, honest, and exuded confidence. I felt at peace. His surgery was a complete success. He came to my bedside twice, and we talked. He gave me great care. I'd recommend him to anyone for surgery. Very appreciative of his ability to step-in, and get this thing done. Came to Dr Galvin with an inguinal hernia & hydroele that needed to be repaired. Both visits to his office took around 15 minutes. Had the surgery on Oct 26th and couldn’t be more happy with my results. I’m already able to start my light weight training and cardio again. I would recommend any athlete or person to see Dr Galvin.

I met Dr. Galvin through an emergency room admission. He has a reputation of being a strong patient advocate and is an excellent surgeon. I knew I was in good hands and I was confident I would have a good outcome after surgery, which I did. Dr. Galvin is a good listener, patient and has a kind manner. Dr. Galvin is a Critical Care Surgeon, so follow up appointments can be changed because of the emergency field he works in and the unpredictability of sudden emergencies.

I had to have my appendix removed and due to the urgent nature of this procedure I did not have an opportunity to shop for a surgeon prior to the operation so I was very apprehensive about who Dr. Galvin was. Turns out he was perfectly fit for me. I am obese and was very scared about being operated on by someone who is not familiar with the anatomy of an obese abdomen, which happened to be Dr. Galvin's specialty. He was so patient with me as I had numerous questions and concerns, given that I didn't have time to research my condition and have pre-operative appointments to address my inquiries. He put me at ease and I loved his sense of humor which sort of sneaks up on you. If I ever need to have abdominal surgery again, he will be my first choice.
