Dr. Geenen is prompt & responsive when unexpected issues arise. He is thorough & compassionate. It is easy to discuss embarrassing topics with him. Everyone at his practice is superb!

My procedure went successfully.

My girlfriend has a hiatal hernia and she is nauseous 24 7. Pills do nothing at all. This doctor doesn't want to do anything about it. He does not want to get her into surgery to FIX it. He just wants to prescribe pills that do NOTHING! He treats it like its a small thing...like its something that goes away on it's own. It only gets bigger and worse. It requires surgery and I refuse to sit here and watch her be sick all the time. We are switching her doctors. We need someone who will take this seriously...someone who will actually fix it.

Asks very few questions. Keeps visits ridiculously short. Doesn't allow time for follow up questions. Barely takes patient concerns into consideration. Seems to ignore concerns about pain. Seems to be more concerned with treating symptoms than determining the underlying cause. Only reason I'm giving him two stars is because he was at least okay on my first visit, but from there his ego has taken over and made all subsequent visits nearly intolerable. This is the first time I'm switching doctors due to the doctor's own incompetence caused by his ego.

Extremely disappointed that Dr. Geenen did not check my son's pancreas earlier in his Crohn's Disease treatment, especially since one of the side effects of his Crohn's medication was Pancreatitis. Additionally, some of his ulcerations were located on the portion of the small intestine near the pancreas. Unlike other organs, the pancreas does not have a protective "coating" thus this infection may have been leaking onto his pancreas. Of course, I cannot say that my son would still be here today if this was done; however, I think it is reasonable to expect, especially from a GI specialist, that this was explored further. Thank you!

Dr Geenen is a great Dr. I have been seeing him for years.
