Dr. Daniel Philip Gilday, DO

I went in to the Olympia ER for abdominal pain and had a pelvic ultrasound & labs that confirmed ruptured, complex cysts. I think Dr. gilday was offended I had asked for a woman doctor from the beginning. At the end of the appointment he made several comments like I was just drvg seeking and told me I was lucky he wasn't "requiring a pelvic exam to get my drugs." He threatened an unnecessary pelvic exam for pain relief of a proven medical issue. He said he was deciding between two pain relievers, I told him one has made me nauseous in the past, he said I would take what he gave me and then sent in the script for the one that made me nauseous.

Dr. Gilday stopped during his commute from work at the hospital to "rescue" me on the side of the road with my bicycle that's chain was stuck. His first question was, "Are you ok?" I was, but he stayed and helped to fix my bike and even offered wet towelettes to clean the chain grease from my hands for my bike ride home. I may not have seen him in the ER, but this Doctor is fantastic: just a darn good human. Thank you Dr. Gilday.
