Dr. Daniel Joseph Gittings, MD

I highly recommend Dr. Gittings! He did carpal tunnel release (open release) and a trigger finger release on each hand six weeks apart. I am on oxygen and live 2-4 hours away depending on traffic. He and his staff took care of me and my special needs with such care, patience and kindness. I was fully awake for surgery with local anesthesia. I know everyone heals differently, but I feel that the quality of the surgeries was the reason why I healed so well and had most of my strength back two weeks after surgery. Burning and tingling in hands and up the arm are gone and the trigger fingers do not click or get stuck anymore. All surgeries were successful! :)

His care is amazing. Not only does he know his stuff medically, but his bedside manner is better than I could imagine. He doesn’t rush patients and listens, answers questions, and discusses options. He is available to help patients with emergencies even after hours. I haven’t seen a doctor this great in years. I highly recommend him.

Call this doctor without a backward glance. Dr. Gittings is accessible, he’s highly skilled, he speaks of your recovery in detail (rare in my experience with surgeons), and he has the bedside manner you really long for when you are scared, in pain, and about to go undergo a major surgery. I smashed my wrist and thank goodness I didn’t just patch it up and seek out any orthopedic doctor, as I was advised by the ER doctor. The specialty with hand/wrist makes a huge difference in this delicate area. Dr. Gittings’ passion for his specialty and concern for you as a person in his care comes shining through. You’ll thank me with a 2-hands clasped shake later.
