Dr. Daniel Halpert, DO

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Dr. Halpert’s office and would not recommend it to anyone looking for compassionate pain care. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was rude and dismissive. Simple questions were met with attitude and impatience, and it felt like patients were treated more like an inconvenience than people dealing with real medical issues. Unfortunately, the appointment with Dr. Halpert wasn’t any better. Instead of actually listening to what I was experiencing, he interrupted repeatedly and seemed far more interested in talking about himself and rushing through the appointment than understanding my condition. I left feeling like my concerns were brushed aside rather than taken seriously. Pain management is already stressful enough without having to deal with a doctor who comes across as arrogant and a staff that treats patients like a burden. Respect and empathy should be the bare minimum in healthcare, and that was completely missing… here. There are plenty of doctors who actually listen and care about their patients. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere before choosing this office.

I can't speak highly enough of Advanced Medical Sports & Spine and Dr. Halpert. The entire experience, from the moment I walked in, was fantastic. The staff was friendly and efficient, and Dr. Halpert was not only knowledgeable but also took the time to address all my questions and concerns.

Whether it is injections in my lower Lumbar spine, or pain management after a major neck surgery, Dr. Halpert and his staff have never let me down. It is always respectful, professional, and courteous. 5 stars all the way. Kurtis

Dr. Halbert and his staff have been nothing but kind, sympathetic and professional. I have a dibilitating illness and he has helped give me a quality of life. I highly recommend him for anyone in true pain! Thank you,

This "professional" is both moody and creepy to interact with. It makes you wonder just what drugs he is taking. Seriously. This dark, rundown home he works out of doesn't make the experience any better. Ugh. Visit at your own risk but there are far more appropriate, personable, professional and competent physiatrists in Virginia.

I was a patient of Dr. Halpert and taking Suboxone for pain. He would always ask my opinion and then act like he didn't care. Very narsasistic. Went in for my appt when he informed me that my urine came back positive for heroin. I was floored, I advised him that couldn't be right, and asked for his help in figuring it out. He actually sat there and laughed like shrugging his head and kept saying" I'm not judging you", then asked me if I was snorting it. By this point I was highly offended, and hurt because I though I had finally found a good Dr that would listen and care. Boy was I wrong. I asked him to call the lab in which he said no and gave me the number. I started to call the lab in front of him at which point t he got all flustered and and asked if I was going to do it from his office. Of course I did and the lab stated he had to call them, and he wouldn't. I was very very very upset at this point seeing how he was treating me and wouldn't even write a script for me to come off… the Suboxone. We exchanged some words and I left. I guess now I'm gonna sick for a few days once I finish what I have left. I only wish Dr. Halpert a better Dr in his life than he was to me..

Dr. Halpert seems to want to help. He takes his time with you and answers all questions. His staff is not very friendly & the receptionist is down right rude! Recommend another office if you can find one!! Good Luck

This doctor is excellent. The bad reviews are obviously coming from people who are drug seekers. If you are one, do not see this doctor, he is not for you. Stop seeking drugs, you are making it very difficult for people who are really in pain like me, who suffers from chronic pain after my leg was amputated.
