Dr. Daniel R Higgins, MD

Would choose again and am about to. Did lumpectomy and mastectomy 2012. Still alive almost 5 yrs later. No chemo. Stage 1.

I hear he is a great surgeon, but he is full of himself and insensitive to women. He actually asked me why I would want to keep my nipple because I wouldn't have any sensation anyway. Then he told me he was not familiar with DIEP breast reconstruction. If that is so, he needs to get updated with cutting edge surgery. He did spend time with me and answered my questions. If you want a good doctor with no sensitivity, then this is your guy.

Dr. Higgins cared for my mother several years ago. His bedside manner and availability were excellent. He went out of his way to explain things to my sister and me, and my mother adored him. He visited her in the hospital even when she was not there for one of his surgeries. I found him to be highly intelligent, an easy communicator, and honest about our options, as difficult as they were. Highly recommend.

From my first vist to all the follow ups since my mastectomy they have been nothing but pleasant . Dr. Higgins and his staff are more then caring . I have nothing but praise for dr . Higgins and the care his has givne me.

Absolutely worst bed side manner I have experienced. Never been spoken to the way this doctor talked to me. With his rude personality he should not be working with people. Stay away from him

Dr. Higgins came highly recommended. He performed surgery, I was fully informedbefore and while he was operating on me. His staff are the best - Thanks Maggie -great job all around.

I cant thank Dr.Higgins enough and his professional staff,for a problem I had been dealing with for almost one year.I had a large wound on my left ankle,that wouldn't heal,I tried hyperbaric,wound care specialist with no success.A friend of mine told me that I should see Dr.Higgins!I made the apt and in a matter of two months I was healed back up and no further problems.
