Dr. Daniel Lee Hiser, MD

Dr. Hiser is a super nice guy. Friendly and helpful. Explains all the possible diagnosis and narrows them down to the one he thinks is right. His staff is terrible, I had to call so many times for them to send me my routine blood reports, too nearly 2 months. Too bad my insurance has changed and I cant go back to Dr. Hiser.

Dr. Hiser is like the doctors in the old days that came to your home, administered what you needed and brought you back to health. He is caring, dedicated, and knowledgeable. I would recommend him highly!!

People who are quick to judge Dr. Hiser don't realize how hard it is to be a physician. There are some jobs that are especially grueling; roofing, waiting tables, and now many specialties in medicine. Since the managed care debacle of the early '90s - led by a certain woman running for president whose first name starts with an "H" - Medicare has been making ever-more outrageous demands for reimbursement, with the insurance companies eager to follow. Now many physicians get to spend only a pittance of their time with the patient and the remainder (yes, I know some who spend over 90%) doing the report in order to get reimbursed...that's if they want to be home for 7 pm dinner and maintain their relationships and mental health. Also, this office needs a change of management style or new employees.

I have been with Dr Hiser for over 20 years and everything was excellent including his staff. However since he moved to another facility with other doctor's his staff had changed and it is the staff that is HORRIBLE. They don't return calls, they screw up on getting approval for X-Rays, Physical Therapy, referrals, etc.!

I would never pick this doctor anymore and would never recommend him to anyone. He doesn't know anything. He spend one or two minutes with me. When I tell him about my problem he says that he doesn't know and send you to specialist. Then his assistant Maria would never send a referral to specialist. I found the specialist and told her to send a refferal. It took her one month to send the refferal. Even though the specialist contacted her to send the refferal which they are not suppose to do that. But it was nice of her. And the other worse thing their phone system is horrible. They don't pick up the phone but if they do they put you on hold the the line get cut off. It's very unprofessional doctor and his staff. He doesn't care about his patients. I would never recommend anyone to this doctor.

He's great!

Horrible doctor who even tells his patients he "doesn't have time for this." Who also tells his patients that their 3 year old child must wait in the waiting room ALONE. Completely unethical. Also, his office REQUIRES their patients to sign an agreement to never sue or take any other legal action against them for malpractice, maltreatment or misdiagnosis. Big red flag here.

DO NOT see Dr Hiser if you want a prescription called in or refilled within a 10 day time frame. His staff is horrible in their follow through and the answering service somehow forgets to give the doctor his messages. My wife and I have called more than 10 times for ONE prescription to be filled. This is blood pressure, pain and maintenance stuff, IMPORTANT MEDS YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO MISS OR SKIP!!! Unbelievable. I am switching doctors next month when new insurance kicks in. This is unacceptable. We're considering calling the medical board about this. Even pharmacies tell us his office is "the worst" at getting scrips called in. I'm not too sure Dr. HIser really cares about that either
