Dr. Daniel Craig Jay, MD

I had some qualms based on the reviews here, but the Dr. was amazing. I have a hard time opening up, and he spent over an hour and was able to get more information out of me then I myself knew. He's given me resources on where to go next in my journey. I am very happy with the result.

Dr. Jay spends about 15 minutes with you during which he reads from a checklist and then checks off your responses. He's sarcastic and distracted. Does not know your history so you have to repeat every time. Only go to him because they take my insurance and I have to see a psychiatrist.

I was concerned before going to see Dr. Jay because of the negative reviews, but my experience was totally different. He is quiet, but very professional and thorough. He spent over an hour with me, listened to my concerns and developed a plan that fit with my goals. I never felt like he was rude or uncaring.

I have been seeing Dr. Jay over a year now. He really is a good guy, but you have to get to know him. I mostly see him just for my meds so I am pretty much in and out. He can sometimes come off as cold, but underneath that skin is a caring person. I think in a crisis he could be there for me or at least I would like to think so!

Dr. Jay was somewhat cold. He faces away from you for the duration of his sessions, and he seems to think anything you have to elaborate on is inconvenient. From his desk, he reads from a standard worksheet and fills in the blanks. Literally.

This doctor has the personality of a rock. A dead rock. He is not empathetic, nor is he patient. I understand the position of a psychiatrist and am well aware of the fact that most are not touchy feely. And I'm very okay with that, but this man is just horrible in personality. He is very impatient, and really to the point where one would feel as if you are wasting his time.
