Dr Daniel Johnson

Dr Johnson’s lack of empathy and ability to listen to my needs made for a truly disappointing interaction

I was previously a patient of Dr. Johnson, and while he was calm and seemingly tentative during our meetings, he seemed to brush off several severe symptoms I was experiencing at the time. I have now seen another doctor who has medicated me properly and provided the appropriate channels for continued therapy. Looking back, some of my severe manic episodes went untreated by Dr. Johnson. He would often blame things such as sleep deprivation, erratic behavior, psychosis, delusions, and self-mutilating behavior on my own habits such as watching too much tv or smoking. I took his advice on changing these habits hoping it would help. He explained that I would adjust and the symptoms would pass. However, even with these habit changes, I continued to cycle through long periods of mania and depression without any further explanation or help. I am not sure what his philosophy is concerning mental illness, but I did not find his advice to be helpful. I suffered far too long while he was my… psychiatrist.

Dr. Johnson is a very compassionate psychiatrist. He actually learns about you as a person and tries very hard to learn all he can about his job. This a lot more than other psychiatrists I have seen do.

Dr Johnson manipulated me into believing he understood benzo withdrawal syndrome. He allowed me in a ptsd state to drive 4 states (when I traditonally can't be on the freeway at all) to seek medical recognition, and upon arrival told me he doesn't help people with disability. I find that type of behavior either a little evil, or completely lacking in education on iatrgensis of psychotropic drugs. I find his behavior egregious.

Daniel is an excellent psychiatrist! His practice assists individuals wishing to taper off psychiatric meds and provides excellent support. He utilizes Empathic Therapy and assisted me for a longtime taper. His practice is wholistic , as well as, individualistic. Psychiatric meds have there appropriateness but are not alongterm solution for many. Understanding,empathy and compassion are authentic attributes Dr. Johnson shares w the client to assist on the healing path towards a recovery that is healthy on psychological,biological and spiritual levels. Strongly recommend Dr Johnson to help anyone desiring to be free or less dependent on psychiatric meds. His assistance has helped me greatly and feel that Dr Johnson has helped restore stability or homeostasis I have not exper in years

Dr. Johnson is a true visionary and pioneer in the evolution of psychiatry.
