Dr. Daniel Robert Kollmorgen, MD

Dr. Kollmorgen attended my emergency surgery(s) while in Bozeman Montana last April. He not only earned my confidence and trust early on with his detailed knowledge, experience, and ability to communicate freely in laymans terms as to the procedures, the ultimate goal, expectations, as well as potential issues involved. It was a blessing from God to have been so lucky to be under his care during my critical needs

He Removed a huge cyst fr my 19 year old daughters spleen & was able to leave her spleen in her body!!! He then removed my son-in-laws gall bladder!! He is a prestigious ELITE master at what he does!! His skills are top notch !! He is the finest surgeon in this town & we are forever thankful to him !!

Went for a consult with this doctor. Had to wait an hour past appointment time. Although he seemed knowledgeable enough on my medical issue, his abrasive personality was more than I could deal with. If you want a cold, uncaring doctor to take care of you, he's probably your guy. His nurse was also very rude.

Dr Kollmorgen is an excellent surgeon. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an outstanding surgeon.

If you like bad bedside manners, rudeness and incompetencies then Pick this doctor. Otherwise go elsewhere fast..I wish I would have.

This doctor is a gifted surgeon and cares very much about the welfare of his patients. That may be only because of his competitive nature, that he hates to lose, or because he is just so competent. He saved my life and during a 9-hour surgery and a 2 week hospital stay was with us all the way. I cannot imagine that I would have survived without his care and competence.

I had staph lesions, which he diagnosed as cysts, put me through surgery to remove the "cysts" and never treated me for the cause of the problem, staph. He refused to give me a complete copy of my medical file. It took three letters, and phone calls from my attorney to finally recieved a cleaned up version of my medical file after 6 long weeks. This is how I discovered I had staph, and that it had never been treated. Dr. Kollmorgen knew that I was having knee replacement and did not bother to tell me that I could be at high risk for infection if not treated properly. Dr. Kollmorgen became very verbally abusive with me on two occasions and refused to refer me to another internist when I believe my auto immune system had been compromised. I was suspicious that I had staph after he put through a humiliating surgery to remove "cysts". I believe he did not even know I had staph, I believe he lets his nurse and office staff run his practice and he does not bother himself with actual… medicine. This is very dangerous and very callous.
