Dr. Daniel Lange

Would give zero stars if possible. He performed three surgical procedures on me at one time, left permanent clips in my body that will be there forever (never told me he was going to do that!) and told me it will hurt for awhile. Urologists since then have to,d me that in addition to current stones - he performed a lot of unnecessary surgery I’ll have substantial scarring from him forever.

I came across this site and couldn’t believe the negative comments. I realize everyone has a different experience and a different perspective, but, in my opinion, Dr. Lange is by far the best urologist. Having experienced kidney stones on a regular basis for over 20 years, and having visited at least 3 other urologists in the area, I find Dr. Lange to be the most thorough and capable of all. I would recommend him to others without hesitation.

I saw Dr. Lange for blood in my urine which I have never had before. I also had LEFT lower quad. pain that wrapped around to my back. He ordered a CT Scan which show a kidney stone in the RIGHT kidney. Said (via his staff) that it was non obstructing so could not be the source of my pain and/or blood.His staff said I did not need to return to see him so I guess my question would be and still is: why do I have blood in my urine and left sided pain? Wow, guess I better find a GOOD Urologist and see if that needs to be worked up! Dr. Lange has M.D. after his name but that must stand for mighty dense because I am pretty sure he is either incompetant or just doesn't care. Oh, did I mention he yawned throughout the entire visit. Maybe tired from watching too much reality T.V. Get real Dr.Lange, do you really think you can be this bad and people not write about it?!!

He was very dismissive with me and basically said I was lying about my pain. He was ready to scoot me out the door, when I said "no" Im not done and explained to him more symptoms that I was having. He then said "Well that's no good. That could be causing your pain." Duh! I do not like visiting him at all, but unfortunately it's the only urologist covered in my area! Now I have lab results that they wont tell me over the phone and I have to go back to see him just for the results!

Typical surgeon type with poor bedside manner, and not consideration for patients comfort during procedures. Average diagnostic skills with average knowledge in his specialty. Wanted to do a very uncomfortable procedure with no anesthesia or sedation.
