Dr. Daniel Craig Leach

I was referred to Shelbourne and Associates by my dentist and met with Dr. Daniel Leach for a consultation on the extraction of 2 teeth. I was informed by Dr. Leach that these would be just normal extractions, but for his benefit they would prefer have me under deep anesthesia during the extractions. We discussed doing a dental implant to replace one of the teeth. Immediately after the appointment I was presented with treatment plans for the extractions and the implant. The phase 1 plan involved extraction of the 2 teeth, a bone graft, deep anesthesia, and "therapeutic medication" for a fee of $2,696. The phase 2 treatment plan was for 1 dental implant for a fee of $3,908. (Total fee: $6,604.) Since I do not have dental insurance they offered to reduce the fees by 20%. They also informed me that they accept the Carrington Discount Dental Plan. The next morning I called Carrington and they confirmed that Dr. Daniel Leach was a provider in the plan and the plan cost for a… surgical extraction would be $177 per tooth vs. the $373 on the treatment plan. I then called Shelbourne and Associates to ask if the deep anesthesia was necessary or if I could just have local numbing for the extractions. I also confirmed the Carrington discount and was told the price for each extraction would be $212 with the discount. The Shelbourne representative said that she would call Carrington to confirm the extraction cost and talk to Dr. Leach about the anesthesia and would call me back later in the day. -No call back. The next day I called Shelbourne again to follow up and was told that they do not accept Carrington and that they require patients to be deeply anesthetized for extractions. Conclusion: I visited Shelbourne and Associates for typical tooth extractions which are normally performed under a local anesthetic with a typical cost of $185 per tooth. What I encountered was up-selling of services, excessive fees, and false / inaccurate information about the Carrington discount dental plan acceptance.

Dr. Leach , His Wife & the Whole Stuff Is Amazing!!! I Have Always Had Bad Experiences At The Dentist !!! And Scared ?? Haha That Doesn’t Even Come Close To How Freaked Out I WAS!! I Have 3 Bad Teeth And I Was So Petrified Of The Dentist I Delt With The Most Painfull Pain I Wouldn’t Wish On Anyone For 4 Years!!! I Couldn’t Take It So I Went To Dr.Leach Still Petrified .. But When I Met Everyone There And They We’re Friendly And Actually Cared And made me feel comfortable... So I Went Back For My Second Appointment I was a little shooking up .. but they were all there supporting me wonderful staff !! I got my teeth out .. no pain at all was very comfortable with everyone .. I recommend every one needs to go there .. Scared or not . They are just great pain free .. as a matter of fact I’ll be seeing him again real soon !! Great job y’all should be proud
