Dr. Daniel Alexander Leffler, MD

I was so happy to get this doctor as I had seen him speak on conference panels and knew he was heavily involved in research. However, he is apparently much more interested in those endeavors than in paying attention to detail when it comes to his patient, and his office staff was extremely unhelpful as well. There was a string of issues - medical records I was assured had arrived but then were missing for the appointment; their inability to get records sent from another hospital over the next three months, despite multiple emails from me following up and my being told by the other hospital that they were going in the mail; a letter about test results that didn't even make sense as it said I may or may not develop a condition that I had already been diagnosed with; and silence from Dr. Leffler when I emailed him about whether there was any status update on getting these records and expressing my frustration at the care I was receiving. The whole experience has been mind-boggling. The… dieticians here are fantastic, but the medical care and the administrative support is a huge disappointment and not at all what I expected.

Iâ??ve been a patient of Dr. Leffler for several months. He is extremely knowledgable and always seems willing and able to address the many questions and concerns I have had as he has worked with me. Dr. Leffler seems as kind as he is smart, always open to listening and not dismissive nor arrogant. I chose Dr. Leffler because of his expertise in celiac disease, but I havenâ??t met a doctor with a better bedside manner than his. I canâ??t recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Leffler has one of the best bedside manners I have ever seen in a doctor. He was friendly, caring and I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
