Dr. Daniel Gregory Luba, MD

Dr. Luba and staff were professional, friendly, good communicators, all appointments and procedures were as expected, as scheduled.

Dr. Luba removed my mom's gallstones, an emergency Saturday morning procedure after a surgeon removed Mom's gallbladder. Dr. Luba communicated well with me and my brothers before the procedures and afterward in the waiting room. I thoroughly recommend Dr. Luba with no reservations.

We are writing this to tell you how much confidence we have in Dr. Daniel Luba. He literally saved my husbands life many years ago. We will continue to use Dr. Luba for our gastro problems, we always ask his advice on various other issues and he spends quality time with us during our appointments. We really do not understand the negative reviews that we read here. However, they seem to be many years ago so maybe those staff members are no longer employed. We have referred many family members and friends to him and they have always called us to tell us thank you for the reference.

Dr Luba never followed up with me after I had complications from his colonoscopy. His assistant was completely incompetent.

Dr Luba wants to think that the world revolves around him and that he is the greatest doctor ever. He is far from it. If he is on call when I have an issue I dont even bother.

Just read the three other reviews; could not disagree more. I had a dual procedure a couple of years ago and was treated in a fully professional manner. Visited him with my wife recently during her pre-procedure consultation; this will be her third procedure with him. My wife and I both find Dr. Luba's bedside manner to be quite charming and have complete confidence in him as a competent and caring medical professional.

I had to reschedule my appointment twice, once after having already done the treatment--wrong because I hadn't the correct directions-- and again because I got the directions so late--this despite the fact that I had been in the office the first time with a direction problem...I'd asked for the directions then and was told they'd be sent to me. They were never sent. When I received a reminder call to take the treatment I asked to have them sent. They still were not sent. I spoke to 3 or 4 people two days before the treatment and finally got them sent after 5pm that day. So by the time I had them in hand and talked to the pharmacy, the office was closed. I saw I was not to have eaten seeds of nuts for the past 3 days which no one had bothered to mention. I saw that I was to begin a treatment at 4 pm when I am at work, something I cannot change. Now I am told that I may have to reschedule the appointment because I would be starting the preparation too late if I wait until I am home from… work...something, by the way that was part of the first problem and NO ONE, not the staff, and not the nurse who was the go between with the Dr. (who I never saw that first morning) bothered to ask about. No one asked me what my work life was like. No one bothered to mention the few general rules that all, whatever of the several preps, would have to follow in order to set up an appointment that I could actually be prepared for. (I was even required to wait until the two days before to know what time my appointment would be...something by the way that is relevant to what time I would need to start that prep, but again, MY schedule was clearly irrelevant. I know some patients have medical needs the doctor has to consider, but this is ridiculous. Like the first time, if the person who called me the very first time or if at any point in the interaction from day one someone had discussed the requirements with me of the prep NONE of this would have happened. It was completely unnecessary, a huge inconvenience, and has made what was already an unpleasant prospect a tremendous situation of stress. I don't care how good the doctor is, this kind of office set up shows a complete disregard for the patient as a human being with any kind of life. It might suit the doctor and staff that everyone is sitting doing nothing but waiting for doctor's appointments with no previous commitments but that one, but it has been a huge problem in my life.

I saw doctor Luba many times over the course of a year. The wait time is absurd for an afternoon appointment so get in really early if you don't want to wait for 90 minutes. He is an incredible egoist, misdiagnosed and laughed at me when I suggested testing I'd like done. Unless you only have routine problems DO NOT USE HIM. He is the epitome of what is wrong with the healthcare system.

Dr. Luba is a disgrace. Made jokes during a serious visit and was completely clueless. Told my wife that she should see a psychiatrist for her nausea and stomach pain. He's a complete idiot.Fortunately, we went to a naturopath who did allergy tests and now things are improving. People like Dr. Luba are why the U.S. medical system is one of the worst in the developed world. Don't waste your time with someone this dumb and out of touch.
