Dr. Daniel R Marcus, MD

Dr. Marcus is a wonderful doctor: superb, compassionate and if I may add one more attribute--he's funny. Everything I'm looking for in the person holding my life in their hands is contained in this brilliant man. My hernia surgery experience could not have gone better and he has my deepest thanks. I also want to acknowledge his courteous, efficient office staff as well as the kind people at Marina Del Rey hospital for their excellent service which begins at the entry way door.

I saw all these good reviews online so I decided to see him for my surveys. It was a really bad experience, he was condescending and rude. I think allot of the reviews aren’t true because my experience was nothing like these reviews

Very rude doctor, when I communicated to him that you don’t have to be rude. He put his hand in my face. It was a complete waste of time.

We are very happy & grateful to Dr. Marcus. He was able to quickly schedule my wife's laparoscopic surgery on short notice, and was able to extract her enflamed & enlarged gull bladder without complications. He used methods that allowed a quick healing, which is important for a person with MS. Thank you, Dr. Marcus. P.s. We got some great pictures of that gall bladder, too.

I was lucky at the ER Room at Marina Del Rey Hospital when Dr. Marcus arrived to take care of me. He performed my hernia surgery laparoscopically and I went home the next day. I only needed a few Advil’s afterwards and had no restrictions. He was amazing!

I chose Dr. Marcus as my doctor to treat a hernia. He recommended laparoscopic surgery for treatment which is only performed by a handful of doctor. During surgery he discovered a total of three hernias, all of which where corrected. I am now totally healed and I continue to be very thankful for choosing Dr. Marcus as my surgeon.

Dr. Marcus and his staff were absolutely outstanding. Going to the doctors always makes me very nervous, but Dr. Marcus and his staff put me at ease before I even arrived for my appointment. Dr. Marcus was very clear about the treatment I would need (Gallbladder Removal) and explained to me the options I had. I ended up having a robotic surgery and only had one small incision in my belly button. My experience was great both during surgery and after. Dr. Marcus has excellent bedside manner and was very calming for my nerves. I was up walking around the day of my surgery and was feeling back to normal within one week. I only experienced slight soreness around the incision and didn't even need pain medication. Additionally, Melissa was so helpful with the financials. I knew well in advance of my surgery what my final costs would be for the surgeon, facility, and anesthesia. She was able to explain to me the pros and cons of going in network vs out of network of my insurance.… Nothing came as a surprise during the entire experience. Thank you so much to Dr. Marcus and his staff for taking such great care of me! This was by far and above my best medical experience.

Great job, removed golf ball sized lipoma from my upper arm and repaired a rather large congenital inguinal hernia at the same time. Relatively little pain at either. Back at full speed in less than a month.
