I'm a past patient -I tried for a month to get into Dr. Marcus. They said I needed a referral since it had been a few years. Got the referral - they called 3x at my home number instead of my cell as requested to make an appt. After 3 tries they send the referral back and I was told I needed to get another one. Very hard to work with - very uncooperative staff. I'm going to another doctor - my time is just as valuable as his.

Only seems to be interested in giving shots. A physical exam lasts 30 seconds. No follow up. Worst doctor ever.

Great doc if you are looking for an accurate scientifically based workup in an empathetic environment. His diagnosis and treatment was spot on and got me safely exercising and healthy again.

Dr. Marcus brings to Sutter Physiatry a high level of confidence and sophistication only found in a well trained physician. I am thankful he is here, in Santa Cruz, to guide me through caring for my complicated, chronic disc injury

Dr. Marcus saw me on Friday before the Presidents Day weekend, he was so concerned and worked through the lunch hour to perform a nerve conduction study, and arranged an MRI the same day. He called me 2 times over the long weekend and had an appointment for me on Tuesday morning with the Neurosurgeon with an appointment following with a Neurologist. I am scheduled for surgery on 3/3 and because of Dr. Marcus I am confident surgery was the right choice. He is an amazing physician, my hero!

I have RSD and this is the only doctor I have found to relieve my pain. He is a really nice man and cares about how you are doing with your pain.

MD did not order an MRI and delayed the diagnosis and need for surgery.
