Dr. Daniel McClenathan at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Pete is truly one of a kind. There are not enough words to express how grateful our family is for everything he has done for our daughter, Chloe. He has saved her more times than I can count, and through every difficult moment he has shown not only incredible medical expertise, but genuine compassion, patience, and love for our family. Dr. McClenathan is hands down the best pediatric gastroenterologist around. He treats his patients like family, and that is something so rare and special. He never even as much as looks at the patients let alone orders any tests to be done. He dismisses everything you say. All you will do is waste your time because you will certainly not solve your childs issues by seeing him. He should have retired a long time ago. It is hard to believe he has all this expertise because he is an absolute joke. Google can give better diagnoses than this man. Stay away!

I was a patient of his to see if i had chrons disease. His nurse practioner looked over my tests and procedures and diagnosed me with chrons within 5 minutes. McClenathan came in and discussed only hard core drugs and suggested humira and remicade. I decided on remicade and went through 3 infusions before becoming extremely sick. I never saw him again after my first visit, i only saw nurse practitioners after that. So one of the nurse practitioners put me on mesalamine since i had a bad experience with the remicade. I was still getting sick every week and within 2 months of starting mesalamine, i got pancreatitis. I was in the hospital for 8 DAYS because of this medication. We did not hear anything from their office since then. I just recently went to the Mayo Clinic and have been told i most likely don’t have chrons disease AT ALL. So basically, this doctor has no clue what he is doing and only cares about putting patients on the worst drugs possible. Do not see this doctor.

WORST doctor i have ever been too. He shouldn't even be titled a doctor with the level of experience he has. I would rate -12/10 stars if I could... He didn't help my GI problems at all and made them worst. He also resembles a creepy skeleton so I would not entrust my Colon with him... DONT GO TO HIM!

All medical assistants at this office are unprofessional, horrible customer service.

Dr. McClenathan and Dr. Richard Harmel (Pediatric Surgeon) worked together to diagnose and correct the problem with Hunter's intestines! He saved my son's life!
