Melinda Hallman - Dental Hygienist
Melinda has been a Panama City Beach resident for 21 years. She received her A.S. from GCCC accredited dental hygiene in 2006. While in hygiene school, she served as Florida Dental Hygiene Association Student delegate and FSADHA Treasurer from 2004 to 2006. Melinda was a student table clinic presenter at the FDHA annual symposium (2005), volunteered with Give Kids a Smile (2004 – present), presented a HIPAA awareness presentation for GCCC dental students and faculty, implemented a “Save that Smile” mouth guard outreach program (2006) for all contact sports athletes in Bay County Middle Schools. Melinda was awarded the Florida Foundation of Dental Hygiene Scholarship. She has completed expanded functions for dental hygienist and is CPR and defibrillator certified. She has passed the written national examination and received a perfect score on the state clinical exam, earning her RDH license. She is a member of the ADHA as well as a new member of …the Junior Service League of Panama City, FL.
Melinda is married and gave birth to her first son in 2009! She has an affinity for the outdoors; she enjoys nature and loves to spend time in Florida’s state parks. Melinda enjoys riding her motorcycle - a 750 Honda Shadow, enjoys yoga and all types of art and crafts including: stained glass, mosaic, scrap booking, painting pottery etc. Melinda recently created a “Smart Mouths” prevention program to bring dental health awareness to a wide range of settings in Bay County.
Melinda joined the practice of Dr. Gangwisch, Dr. Grandy and Dr. Melzer on September 19, 2009. She approaches life and the art of dental hygiene with empathy and optimism. Melinda believes the key to ensure a patient returns for a consistent oral health review is by educating and encouraging them. Melinda promises pain-free dental treatment and will even let you pick a toothbrush in your favorite color when it’s over!
