Dr. Daniel Neil Metzger, DO

I was one of his very first patients when he opened his first clinic in a converted Taco Bell which he quickly outgrew. He is the most caring, listening and compassionate Dr I've ever met and is my only Doctor to this day. I'm disabled but make a trip to Corsicana to see him. I think over half of his patients now make the trip from Dallas like I do. He's that good and everyone knows it.

This commentary on Dr. Daniel Metzger, D. O. is personal for me. I have been treated by physicians in this family for my entire adult life. I am 75 years young and my health has been entrusted to Dr. Metzger since he started his practice in 1988 in Dallas TX. I met Dr. Metzger (Danny to me) when he was a teenager, during my appointments with his uncle Dr. Hoffman. Dr. Metzger was assisting his uncle in his medical clinic at that time. Dr. Metzger was energetic and eager to serve the patients and learn about their medical needs even as a teenager. He was a concerned dedicated assistant. When Dr. Hoffman retired, I then began to see Dr. Metzger. Dr. Metzger was my grandmother’s favorite physician in her later years. He is more than my primary care physician. He carefully analyzes of my medical records from any specialists or other practitioner’s that I see for various ailments. I trust him completely with oversight of my health because he cares for me enough to get to know me… as a person. He knows my family and our lifestyle and is able to advise us on how to stay healthy into our advanced years. He answers all of my questions and never makes me feel that any concern I have is unfounded. It is comforting to know that he looks at the entirety of my health, including input from other physicians, before prescribing a treatment plan. His bedside manner is professional and personable. He is committed to ensuring that I have the answers I seek and the medical treatments that help me enjoy my life. I followed him to Corsicana TX from Dallas TX because he is my physician for life.

I came to the clinic early than my appointment. His staff was very courteous and pleasant and worked me without a problem. His office manager Nancy was very professional and efficient. Dr. Metzger was incredibly personal, knowledgeable and could easily answer all of my questions. I was also able to get my flu shot at the same time. Wonderful experience and I would highly recommend him!!!

Dr Dan has been our doctor for over 25 years. He has seen our family through the birth of my twins and the death of my husband. Has always been there from the flu to broken leg. Even at 2am will meet you at ER
