Dr. Dan Mundt, MD

Cancer doesn’t just affect the patient: it impacts families, careers, and daily life. My work with the Angel Foundation taught me that the best outcomes happen when a strong team comes together: physicians, nurses, loved ones, and most importantly the patient.

As a medical oncologist and hematologist, I believe in a collaborative, patient-centered approach. I focus on making treatment fit into life, whether that means adjusting plans for travel, work, or time with family. My goal is to provide clear, supportive guidance so patients can make informed decisions that feel right for them. A cancer diagnosis is challenging, but the right team makes all the difference.

Outside of work, I love bringing people together—whether that’s hosting friends and family for a meal or sharing great conversations around the dinner table with a board game. Cooking and trying new restaurants are some of my favorite ways to explore new flavors and cultures. I also enjoy painting, especially working with …watercolors, which lets me slow down and be creative in a unique way. When I’m not at home, you can find me at the gym playing volleyball, or even better yet, at a beach playing sand volleyball!
