Dr. Daniel Murillo, MD

I received my kidney in 2006 and have had several medical problems since that did not relate to my kidney but Dr. Murillo and his staff made rounds and made sure my kidney was never in danger. I would trust him again if I ever needed a transplant and recommend him highly. I have had 12 surgeries in my life and he is one of the best surgeons that has worked on me.

I am 9 weeks out from a double transplant, Kidney/Pancreas, by Dr. Murillo.I was immediately impressed with this doctor the first time I met him. He made special efforts to see me on my schedule. He is a kind, considerate person who has alwasy made me feel like he has whatever time I need to ask questions. The surgery went very well, and a week later he had to reopen the surgery to repair a leaking pancreas. He did so on short notice, and did an excellent job repairing what may have been caused by me. He even appoligised for having to open me back up again! He checked on me daily and is always just a phone call away thru his staff.He has a great bedside manner, and shows a lot of care and concern for his patients.I have had 3 follow up visits which require me to drive 200+ miles one way, and he has always tried to accomadate me as best as he and his staff are able to.His success ratio is about the best in the U.S., and he stays very busy transplanting kidneys, pancreas, and… Kidney/Pancreas.I cannot say enough about his manner, and his desire to see you better, and I can always detect a personal joy in him when you do well.I would recommend this man to any person requiring a transplant. Especially kidney/pancreas.His staff is the best I have dealt with, and in 45 years of diabetes, I have dealt with a lot!
