Dr. Daniel Ross Murphy, DDS

Dr. Daniel R. Murphy is a Columbus, Ohio dentist at Stoner Periodontic Specialists. He graduated with a B.A. from The University of Texas in 2000. He obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 2005. During his years as a dental student, Dr. Murphy was involved with several graduate research projects on the subject of occlusion. In 2008, Dr. Murphy received a Certificate in Periodontics as well as a Masters of Science degree from Saint Louis University based on his research of dental laser surgery. Dr. Murphy was elevated to Diplomate status with the American Board of Periodontology in 2008 – an achievement reserved only for an elite group of periodontists nationwide.
In addition to his extensive education, Dr. Murphy worked in a dental practice emphasizing cosmetic procedures in Saint Louis, Missouri in 2007-2008. He served as adjunct clinical faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine from …2006-2008. Dr. Murphy maintains a dental license in both Missouri and Illinois. In July of 2008, Dr. Murphy joined Stoner Periodontics as an associate, and now the Columbus, Ohio dentist provides patient care at both the Dublin and New Albany offices.
Dr. Murphy’s passion for his work drives him to be an active member of The American Dental Association, The American Academy of Periodontology, The Ohio Dental Association, Ohio Academy of Periodontics and the Columbus Society of Periodontics.  In addition to his professional memberships,  Dr. Murphy has been elected by his periodontal colleagues to serve on the board of The Ohio Academy of Periodontics.
Dr. Murphy’s passion for his work drives him to be an active member of The American Dental Association, The American Academy of Periodontology, The Ohio Dental Association, Ohio Periodontal Association and the Columbus Society of Periodontics. He is also a member of several continuing education study clubs in Columbus and regularly attends lectures in Ohio as well as throughout the country.
In addition to private practice, Columbus, Ohio dentist Dr. Murphy is Director of The Northeast Columbus Study Club, an organization to educate in  progressive, interdisciplinary and comprehensive dental therapy. He is also a member of several continuing education study clubs in Columbus and regularly attends lectures in Ohio as well as throughout the Country.
In addition to his professional obligations, Dr. Murphy has provided service to The Give Kids a Smile campaign and has participated in   numerous humanitarian missions in rural Jamaica as a dentist and dental surgeon throughout his career. Dr. Murphy resides in Columbus with his wife   Claire and their two dogs. He enjoys traveling, athletics, and dining out with friends.
