Dr. Daniel Sukjoo Nam

Dr. Daniel Nam is a graduate of the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. He has made a happy home of the Bay Area after graduation, and currently practices in both Oakland and San Francisco. He is Korean-American and a 2nd generation dentist. His father practiced dentistry in Los Angeles for many years before retiring last year to start a new adventure in philanthropy. Dr. Nam has learned to direct his own passion for helping others into expanding access to dental care to those most in need in our society. He tirelessly gives his time and resources to local free clinics and has worked in many large scale free clinics world-wide. Recently, he accepted a position as a board member of the new Remote Area Medical California division. Remote Area Medical has been holding free clinics across the country and around the world for decades, and Dr. Nam is helping to create a permanent branch in California.
In his personal life, Dr. Nam enjoys golfing, basketball, skiing and travel. Music …is a huge part of his life. His undergraduate degree from UCLA is a BA in piano performance and he sings in a classical choir (Angeleschorale.org) each year. Dr. Nam also loves good food and wine of all types, and greatly appreciates the bounty of such things in the Bay Area.
