I came here in 2017 (or 18’’) for very painful TMJ problems I was struggling with everyday. My TMJ became so painful and unbearable to the point I was diagnosed with TMD (TMJ Disorder) and Trigeminal Neurologia in my face(aka suicide disease, look it up). I was in so much nerve pain, it feels like your face is burning and it’s one of the worst pain like a electric shock in your face. I was so desperate and very depressed to find help. I found Dr. Noor after looking on the internet for specialized pain dentists and i took the risk to make an appointment. I say risk because before him I went to another different dentist (will not be named) who made my TMJ / TN nerve pain WORSE with her braces treatment. I bring this up because it is very difficult to find a dentist who UNDERSTANDS nerve pain and is educated about TMJ and TN. It’s very difficult because A LOT of dentists AND doctors are unaware of this and are not all specialized in pain dentistry. Dr. Noor made me feel cared and even… listened to how bad my nerve pain was from our first consultation. He helped me to understand what was wrong and why I had so much pain using science. Being diagnosed with TMD and TN is such a hard process because it is still a “new” disease that even Health Insurance does not recognize this as a real medical issue yet since it’s a unknown and rare medical issue. I think people are unaware that getting braces is not just for aesthetic reasons or a pretty smile. It is also for REAL medical problems and health issues. Ever since I started the invisalign treatment with Dr. Noor, my nerve pain has reduced tremendously. Up until today i am almost pain free and it is so amazing to feel happy again like a normal person without pain. I am still in the process of my invisalign treatment, because of personal mental health issues i was suffering with the TN pain. I had to take a break in my treatment. Today I am going back to finish my invisalign treatment and I am so grateful i found Dr. Noor and Smile Cafe. For anyone with pain TMJ, TMD, TN, or jaw pain please don’t give up. I know personally how hard it is with pain medication , still being in pain trying to find a solution and health insurance not covering for these medical issues. Keep fighting because we can bring awareness to these medical issues and to many people who have been searching for doctors all over the country where many of them either find no solution or are asked to see many medical doctors and go through surgeries before trying non invasive treatments. I hope this can give someone with horrible nerve pain, some hope because you are not alone. Together we can bring awareness to medical health insurance companies and help them understand that orthodontics can help people’s health and avoid risky (and expensive) surgeries or mental health issues and medication. Thank you Dr. Noor and the office staff who have all helped immensely and always made me feel cared for like a valuable patient.

Went to him in 2003 for advice on what to do about a tooth that was a bit extended from my braces and he ended up filing down all my healthy teeth. Do not trust him. Trust me on this. He's the devil.

He is fantastic and knows his business. He is amazing in invisilign treatment.

Excellent experience from scheduling to learning my dental plan. Unfortunately, the cost from Invisalign here is astronomically higher than the other two consultations I had.

I was referred to Smile Cafe through a co-worker roughly three years ago after a horrible dental experience elsewhere. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable, they did a deep cleaning and fixed the damage that my last dentist caused. They were very informative on my procedure and explained how and why I should take better care of my teeth. I am currently undergoing my invisalign treatment and have no complaints. for as long as I live in NYC this will be my go to dentist.

I love the professionalism of the staff. They did an awesome job in cleaning, the x-rays were easy and the Dr.explained everything that was going on with my teeth. They told me what was needed and didn't pressure me to make any on the spot decisions.

I have had a great experience at Smile Cafe. The staff is always professional and friendly and they constantly surprise me with good things. I’m one of those people that is terrified of the dentist, but they have shown me that it doesn’t have to be that way. Thank you!
