Dr. Daniel Benedict Oneill, MD

Torn meniscus - Dr Dan recommended by friend who had Dr Dan do his shoulder - exceptional experience for both of us! Highly regarded surgeon in my book and apparently also by his peers (I ran into another orthopedic working on my son and mentioned Dr Dan did my work; she said I couldn’t have had a finer surgeon as she was very familiar with him and his reputation preceded him. If you are looking for warm fuzzy bedside manner you won’t find it here HOWEVER when you need excellent surgical skills, Dr Dan is your man!

Knee surgery went great with optimal results but you have to have any questions for the doctor ready to go when he arrives to see you as he always seems like he is in a big hurry. ..his staff is excellent and he is also empathetic and kind. He has an on-site x-ray machine so no need to go to another location and in in-house brace rep to make thing easier. Even the lady who takes payments worked with me to file their insurance claim after the hospital for best results. One drawback was that it took a few months to get the initial appointment...but after that all subsequent appointments were scheduled easily and timely. I plan to refer my mom in hopes of him being able to repair her botched knee replacement from another doctor.

Dr. O'Neill and his medical staff are fantastic. His administrative staff is not indicative of the top notch level of care you will receive. They are dry and flat, not particularly friendly. You most likely won't feel warm fuzzies upon entering the front of his office but when you get to the back and interact with Dr. O'Neill, his nurses and the Xray Techs...it will be worth it! I have so much trust in this doctor. He truly wants to correct your pain or injury. He REALLY listens to me and trusts what I have to say about my pain level and injury. I will not trust these joints to any other doctor in Houston.

I have had 4 hip surgeries from sports related injuries and would not trust another dr to do them. Would recommend him to anyone.

After a less than successful surgery by another surgeon, Dr. O'Neill SAVED MY KNEE. I had been limping and in periodic pain for over 2 years when he repaired the damages caused by the previous surgeon. After my surgery, I had no more limp, no more pain and no longer needed pain medication stronger than Tylenol.

I have been using Dr. O'Neill for several years now. He has been treating me for arthritis, including both shoulder and knee replacement surgeries. My recovery from those surgeries was exceptionally easy, and I highly recommend him to all who ask. Unfortunately I have had to move out of state and am looking for another doctor; am having a hard time finding someone who I think I will like as well we him.
