This doctor is a hero to me. He listens and has helped me more than once. My most recent experience with this man might have saved my life!

This is a doctor who will consider you a hypochondriac if you have a healthy vocabulary when discussing your symptoms

I was really shocked to see the negative reviews on this site about Dr. Oppenheim. I first saw him five years for a second opinion for an enlarged thyroid, which my first doctor had said was benign. Dr. Oppenheim did a needle biopsy in his office and discovered that it was actually cancer. I have seen him annually since then and have always found him to be an attentive listener, with lots of questions about how my health status. He always spent plenty of time with me - I never felt rushed out of the office. Earlier this year, my test results indicated a possible return of my cancer, and after sending me to the surgeon for an ultrasound and needle biopsy, called me the next day to review the results. Dr. Oppenheim is certainly one of the most caring and knowledgeable doctors I have had the pleasure to be seen by. I would most certainly recommend him to anyone needing this type of care.

Having struggled with overwhelming fatigue and recurrent, inhibiting pain throughout my body for 7 months, my Primary Care Dr. sent me to Dr.Oppenheim. Because I did not present with obvious endocrine symptoms re. bloodwork, he told me there was nothing wrong with me but that I should talk to my Dr. about depression and medicating for that. Two days later I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease. I was thankful that another Dr. took me seriously, and now I can get the help I need. Don't take no as an answer when you KNOW something is wrong.

Adjusted thyroid med that my internist placed me on and pronounced me fine with lower dose by TSH level only, despite that hypothyroid symptoms had returned on the lower dose.

I happened to see this site when looking it up to send to a person in need of an Endocrinologist and was surprised to see an unhappy patient. I decided to write down my experience. I was sick for years and my life was practically destroyed by endocrinologists in Florida who wouldn't listen to me. I went to see Dr. Oppenheim and he not only listened but figured out is was one of twos medication I was on and took me off the one causing problems. Within 1 month I started feeling 50% better and within three monthes I felt better than I had felt in 15 years. I have my life back because this doctor listened to me.

This doctor is condescending and arrogant. Actually smirked when I asked for the numbers of my latest test results; does not seem interested in having knowledgeable patients. Office staff is wonderful, respectful and easily accessible.
