When my wife and I changed doctors and switched to Dr Palmateer around 20 years ago, it was a real game changer for us in the most positive sense. Over the years, Dan has gone above and beyond in helping us with any medical situation or concern that might arise. Not only is he knowledgeable and a great MD, but he is also a kind and caring person. And, most importantly, he listens. He isn't too quick to just throw some prescriptions at you; he'll help you get past some of your problems with practical suggestions that make sense. For example, if he suggests that you should lose 20 pounds, he won't just leave it at that. He'll give you all kinds of extra helpful advice on HOW to do it, including reading some very good books that he'll recommend. You always come out of his office feeling better about yourself. Best family doctor ever.
