Dr. Daniel Perez, My experience under your care deeply impacted my life in ways I never imagined. I traveled from New York to Texas for what I was told would be a routine and minor procedure. I did my due diligence—researched extensively, asked detailed questions, and placed my trust in you and the institution that stood behind you. However, I later learned—only through my own investigation—that critical anatomical structures in my skull base and palate were removed during the surgery. These included the hamulus and pterygoid plate, which are essential for balance, speech, and structural support. I was not made aware of this beforehand, and the consequences have been devastating. Since that procedure, I’ve experienced significant loss of function, including difficulty balancing my head upright, speaking clearly, and living without constant discomfort and disorientation. What compounded the harm was the absence of transparency. When I sought answers, I was given reassurances that… have since proven inconsistent with medical records, imaging, and pathology findings. The lack of acknowledgment and follow-up has left me physically and emotionally destabilized. I never received a clear explanation, and the resulting damage has taken a profound toll on my quality of life. This experience has altered how I view medical care. I am sharing this because patients deserve full and honest communication—especially when outcomes are unexpected and life-changing. Everyone deserves the truth, especially when trust is placed in the hands of a professional.

After 8 years of horrible TMJ pain, Dr. Perez was the first and only doctor able to fix me when all others said it wasn't possible. I had a very successful surgery and his team were all excellent! He truly cares, excellent surgical skills and very caring. I would highly recommend him.

It was not easy getting an appointment ,but it was worth the wait. I needed surgery on my TMJ ( both sides as Dr Perez found out) and he did a fantastic job! Now I can eat! . He's bed side manner was great even months later ! He really cares!. I wish all my Doctors were like him.
