Daniel Pham, MD

I am a resident physician in the combined Internal Medicine and Psychiatry Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I earned my Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine before moving to Wisconsin. I became a physician to provide whole-person, dignity-affirming care and to be an agent in healing for my patients and community, with a commitment to improving health outcomes for medically underserved populations. My combined training in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry represents more than the mastery of two specialties—it enables me to look beyond disease alone and consider how a person’s relationships, environment, and life circumstances shape their health. I love that this approach to care enables me to return to the relational nature of medicine: building trust, listening deeply, and caring for each patient as a whole person.I believe excellent health care begins with partnership. I collaborate with patients to understand their goals …and develop personalized care plans grounded in the latest evidence-based recommendations. My clinical interests include expanding access to mental health and substance use disorder treatment in primary care and improving health outcomes for individuals living with serious mental illness.In my practice, I provide comprehensive primary care for adults, including preventive visits, evaluation of health concerns, and urgent care appointments.As both an internist and psychiatrist, I care for the whole person-not just their symptoms. I believe that understanding a person's life experiences, relationships, and circumstances is just as important as understanding their medical conditions. This approach allows me to build meaningful partnerships with my patients and provide care that is compassionate, personalized, and rooted in trust.
