Knowledgeable but unnecessarily rough & cold.

Dr. Phillips was absolutely the worst doctor I have received treatment from. I had read the bad reviews and really wanted to give him a fair chance. I know that this procedure is painful but the reason for his low score has everything to do with how he treated me. He was abrupt, unkind, and actually seemed to enjoy hurting me. I wanted to walk out but didn’t have the nerve to follow through with this. My best advice is to see someone else who has some compassion and at the very least have someone there with you. I am confident if you went to someone else you will be missing the worst experience.

I enjoyed meeting Dr Phillips today. I was scared due to previous EMG I had done 4-5 yrs ago. He explained everything in detail and even helped me become aware of extremely hard patches of the EMG preformed. He gave very good advise about who would be reading the results, etc. Perfect experience & great at walking you through what to expect. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr Phillips if you need someone extremely detailed to getting the job done, getting it done properly, and getting results in a timely manner as well. Thank you!!

I received an EMG due to sciatic nerve pain, in hopes to understand the cause or origin of the pain. I heard that EMGs were one of the most excruciatingly painful procedures to experience, so I was petrified for this appointment. Additionally, I haven't had many good experiences with doctors in regard to understanding and treating this nerve pain, which began over one year ago. There was a five to ten minute wait before I was whisked into the lab room. The test lasted 20 minutes, was PAINLESS, and was accompanied with a genuine, enjoyable, and beneficial conversation with the doctor. Dr. Phillips listens and seems to actually care about his patients, which isn't commonly observed amongst doctors. Lastly, scheduling and preparing for the appointment was easy and well communicated. Their website offers thorough preparation information, appointment scheduling, and patient paperwork, so that patients can complete the form prior to arriving. NEI made this process… seamless; providing a clean, friendly, and well-organized environment.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Terrible bedside manner and attitude. Would NEVER go back to see him even if he was the only doctor alive!

After reading the reviews I was a bit worried about my upcoming visit. However, Dr Phillips had great bedside manner. I found him to be very friendly as well as compassionate. He would warn me and tell me to take a deep breath when he knew a certain area was going to be more uncomfortable than the others. I am very impressed with him and his staff.

Horrible bed side manner! Acts as if he hates his job and has no regard for the patient. Should retire! Almost walked out on him!

I found Dr. Phillips to be rude, abrupt and severely lacking people skills. The first thing he said to me was "Get on the table". After I did that he said "Move over". He grabbed my injured hand. I asked him to please be gentle, to which he replied "if that hurt, we should call off the test because the test is going to hurt a lot more than that" He also told me that pain was part of the test, so he did not need to know if it hurt. VERY UNPLEASENT EXPERIENCE.
