I you child goes to St Joseph Hospital emergency room you will most likely see one of there physicians who knows your child and has access to their patient records. So you are not seeing a physician who does not know you or your child. They usually take only severe medical problems.

I should say that this review isn't necessarily about Plasencia (because I went to his practice for 3 months and never even saw him), but about his practice in general. My daughter is special needs, and the staff at St. Joe's highly recommended Plasencia's chronic care complex. It was a nightmare. We never saw the same Doctor twice. When the Doctor would come in, it was clear that they hadn't read, or even glanced at, her chart. I couldn't get a return call about anything, even urgent matters. I think the problem boiled down to the fact that all of their patients are "high priority". And when everybody is high priority... nobody is high priority. If you have a sick child, then do yourself a favor and find a single pediatrician who can get to know your child and their history. This was a waste of time.
