Dr. Daniel Jota Reyes Villa, MD

I saw Dr. Reyes-Villa for my first "over 50" general checkup, and he spent at least five minutes arguing with me over the records that he took for my over the shoulder injury that I had over a year ago (left shoulder vs. right shoulder - a lot of back and forth, very antagonistic, his records were wrong–I saw a physical therapist to heal my injury for six whole months). He also totally discredited my longtime allergist/immunologist (who's a reputed doctor in his field) saying that he "probably gave me antibiotics for a virus just to get [you] out of his office" after he doubted my recollection of my injury. I wish I had walked out, but at the time, I was so stymied by his abhorrent behavior that I left and will never go back. I would warn any potential new patients against seeing him unless you have a very thick skin and don't care if people treat you like garbage.

My biggest concerns are actually stated in the review before this one. Doctor abruptly walked into the examination room at least 30 minutes after scheduled appointment with very little to no hospitality. When going over general questions, he often stopped and began to rant. His phone also rang during the appointment, which he answered and continued to carry on a conversation for minutes, and as I'm sitting right there in silence - the conversation sounded so irrelevant and not at all urgent. Once he hung up, no "pardon/excuse me". After getting a diagnosis and referred x rays, I was supposed to be receiving results/explanation from Dr. Villa which he did not send until I had to call two weeks after to receive them. The listed concerns are frustrating, but minuscule compared to how OPENLY he discusses patients' medical records. Extremely unprofessional.

Provider has a poor bedside manner. He was 40 minutes late to our appointment (and did not excuse himself). He is condescending, an ineffective communicator with subpar interpersonal skills. Most concerning, Dr. Reyes-Villa openly discusses clinical matters in waiting area where other patients can listen; a clear HIPPA violation.

Gives great advice and helped me with high blood pressure issue and general health improvement. Thanks Dr. Reyes!

Dr. Reyes is very professional I only have good things to say about him, I'm glad he is my Dr.
