Dr. Daniel George Rich, MD

Our ophthalmologist retired! We looked long and hard to find a replacement. We had to wait 5 months to get an appointment but did we ever "luck out"! Our first meeting with Dr Dan Rich ended up being the best possible experience. Both my wife and I quickly realized that we had an extraordinary ophthalmologist! Dr Rich is first off a "class act"! He listens attentively; he responds to any and all questions; he speaks in common terms; and you get the sense, strong and clear, that he's genuinely interested in you and the "state of your vision"! Dr Rich is an extraordinary physician ... and a delightful human being! We lucked out because we found the best ... no doubt in our minds!

My visit was handled by the wonderful staff and Dr. Daniel Rich and everyone was nice and helpful. ??

While working in the garden a few days prior to my office visit with Dr Rich some dirt flew into my eye and it became very irritated. Rich walked into the exam room basically with a diagnosis of chalazion before he even looked at my eye saying the dirt had nothing to do with my problem. Although he looked into the interior of my eye he did not pull down the lid to see what was going on. His attitude was very condescending and when I asked he could put a drop in to help ease the pain and itching he said NO he didn't have any drops and told me to go to the store and buy some. My daughter who is a nurse and accompanied me to the office was also appalled at his rude, curt and dismissive behavior. How can an opthamologist not have drops on hand?????? I would rate him with zero stars if possible.

Abusive. Did not listen to my concerns. Resorted to yelling at me because I questioned him. Would not recommend him to others. Arrogance.

He is pushy about you agreeing with his decisions and the cataract surgery he performed had multiple complications. I don't trust him to act in my best interest.

Brilliant doctor. Restored my vision to 20/20 without astigmatism after cataract surgery using a Toric lens. The procedure was so easy and comfortable in his surgery center. Loved the surgery staff. I am going back to get the other eye done soon.
