Great Doctor and Staff.

Phenomenal doctor! He performed a tonsillectomy and aidenoidectomy on me and out of all of the surguries I've had, that one was by far one of the best from pre-op to post-op all the way to recovery and follow up. Plus he did surgery on my father many years ago and even my father thinks highly of him. I would recommend him to anyone that is in need of an ENT. He's very thorough, bedside manner in office and in OR is exceptional and has a phenomenal nursing/administrative staff!

Dr Rooney saw me at very short notice, he actually came to his office on Saturday morning. He was excellent with his bedside manners, very helpful and made the correct diagnosis quickly. Highly recommend him for his experience and skills.

Very professional and understanding. This doctor took the time to listen to me and was able to get my sinus infection under control. Very nice man. His staff are very friendly and helpful. I will refer everyone i know to him.

Dr. Rooney always makes time to see patients on an "I'm sick NOW" basis. The upside of this is there's no need to worry about having to wait days to get some help. The downside is sometimes the wait is long, but in my experience I am never regretted the wait. He takes as much time as I need, answers all of my questions, ensures I understand what I need to do moving forward, and follow up is good. I recommend Dr. Rooney to anyone who wants a great otolaryngologist.

I knew I had a hearing problem before being examined by Dr. Rooney. He described for me the nature of my hearing loss, what it would me for me in terms of everyday living, and whether I would find hearing assistance (hearing aid) helpfful for my type of loss.His good candor and frankness, seasoned with good humor, I found refreshing and as comforting as hearing that I had a non-repairable hearing loss could be,He was honest about hearing aids and tried to counsel me as to when I might find such a device truly necessary.I think Dr Rooney is a top-level professional.

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Rooney, he was prompt in his assessment, treatment and his follow ups. Don't know what the person's issues were in her calling him rude, she must have come in with an attitude given that she went to THREE different doctors. "I think she has the issues" I find Dr. Rooney to be gracious and very personable. The only ENT I will go to...

Oh my goodness. This man is the rudest doctor I have ever encountered! Where do I begin? He didn't say hello when he entered the room. He was gruff from the start. He have me an "exam" & ended up telling me that he had no idea what was going on. He scoffed when I told him that I had seen other specialists & that I had tried numerous medications and nothing had worked. He said "I don't know what to tell you." So I was very discouraged, to say the least. I told him that I believed I had sinus drainage & I needed to know how I could take care of it. Simple enough, right? I mean he IS an ENT doctor, so he should have a readily available answer. He didn't! I really don't think he cared, given his attitude. I ended up researching my symptoms online afterwards and found that a nasal irrigation system that is sold at WALMART(!) may be able to solve the problem and that anti-histamines may actual make sinus drainage worse. Well it just so happens that one of the pieces of "advice"… that I had to practically drag out of him was to take anti-histamines. Was he even LISTENING to anything I said about my symptoms? Thank GOD that I was able to find the useful information on the web, because I certainly would be in no better shape thanks to him. All I was looking for from him was reassurance that I was headed in the right direction with my idea of sinus issues AND I was hoping for a little bit of directional advice. NOPE! Word to the wise, do not go to DANIEL ROONEY, ENT. if you want answers to your problems.

I called their offin in Vienna for my wife to be seen in an emergency (Friday @ 4:30 PM). He asked how long it would take to get to his office. I thought about 30 mins. We arrived in 35 mins and his staff were there to meet us and stayed until Dr. Rooney had seen, diagnosed, and prescribed for her. Even with the lateness on a Friday evening, everyone was pleasant and courteous. I wouldn't expect this from any other doctors office and they saved my wife a trip to the ER. Bravo Dr. Rooney and his staff!

Unlike three other specialists who dismissed an enlarged lymph node on my neck as "infection", Dr. Rooney correctly diagnosed it as cancer (lymphoma). He removed it promptly, and the pathologist's report confirmed his diagnosis. I was then able to get prompt cancer treatment at the oncologist's office. Because of Dr. Rooney's correct diagnosis, prompt and precise surgery, I am alive today, some 9 years later. I owe him my life. His surgery itself was excellent and I can barely see any scar. He also did two very complex tonsilectomies on two adults, one of them my son, and both of these people attest to Dr. Rooney's excellence. Trust Dr. Rooney with your life; he is very very good.
