Dr. Daniel Jonathan Salchow

My 2 year old son has congenital glaucoma and has been seeing Dr. Salchow for over a year.I have found Dr. Salchow to be thorough and as professional as would be expected. Putting a 2 year old through an eye pressure test is no easy task and he has an unbelievable amount of patience. The residents that work under Dr. Salchow have ranged from acceptable to excellent. Residents often come in to observe the patient before Dr. Salchow comes in.The nursing staff has been warm and friendly from our experiences. As to the other reviewer who slammed the office for their hours - this is the downside of specialists. All the ones I've seen have normal business hours. This is not a walk-in clinic. It stinks, but that's the way it is.

Dr Saalchow is an awesome doctor. Our son Andrew was diagnosed w dislocated lenses 3 yrs ago and he has been under Dr Salchow's care since then. Andrew just had his second surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago and Dr Salchow makes Andrew feel so important. He calls him his little buddy and Andrew does not like any dr as much as Dr Salchow. We just found out yesterday that our youngest son is legally blind in both eyes and Dr Salchow will be seeing him on Monday. We have no idea what lies ahead for our little guy but I will tell you one thing that is certain, I am relieved that he will be under Dr Salchow's care.

Dr. Salchow and his staff are great with children and parents. He is very knowledgeable and kind and has been very patient in working with us to help our daughter adjust to wearing glasses and patching in order to treat amblyopia. He is extremely professional and down-to-earth. We're very pleased that we found Dr. Salchow.

his office staff is extremely rude and judgemental. they do not have appointment times for working parents and patients and claim parents are neglecting their children because they can't leave their jobs to go to appointments that the parents didn't even scheduel. the latest appointment they offer is 3 pm and most parents don't get out of work till then. I almost got fired from my job because he called me while I was with one of my patients i'm a visiting nurse.
